On January 30th of this year, Beryl Goldman, Director for Kendal Outreach, was interviewed by a USA Today reporter for an article on restraint use in the USA. The article appeared on February 17th and was commendable in its calling attention to the issue of restraint use in our nation’s nursing homes, and for reporting the reduction of their use, particularly in Pennsylvania where Pennsylvania Restraint Reduction Initiative (PARRI) efforts have been dramatic.
